On May 29, 2026, Showly had already launched agent-powered previews and human-controlled publishing. Now Claude Code and Codex can modify a site, build a private preview, and, after approval, publish a page through a shared link.
Connection. Cursor, OpenClaw, and Hermes connect to Showly via MCP. For Claude Code, run `npx @showly/mcp-server install --to claude-code`; for Codex, run `npx @showly/mcp-server install --to codex`. There is no need to copy a token: on its first call, the agent will open a browser for sign-in and access confirmation.
On Showly's homepage, the agent is prompted to run `Fetch https://showly.ai/agent.md and follow it.` It can then call `get_site_context`, create a change plan, apply a patch, and build a private preview.
Before publishing, the user opens the preview, reviews the diff, and clicks Request publish. An owner or administrator approves publication to the production site. The private preview can be protected with an automatically generated password or a custom password from 6 to 128 characters long.
Pricing and access. In Russia, the free plan can be enabled and used, while a paid subscription requires a foreign card. One publication uses 15 credits, so Pro includes about 200 publications per month. Privacy Mode is enabled by default only on Enterprise, and when enabled, data is not used for training.
