You can now watch the Hermes bot and take over: Bot Screen
On Sep 24, 2026, Hermes Desktop added Bot Screen: users can view the bot's desktop and take over the keyboard and mouse. The screen works only on a headless Linux gateway. The panel is not available on macOS or Windows.

Previously, Hermes Desktop did not open a separate screen showing the bot at work. Now, run `hermes computer-use screen install` on the host, then `hermes computer-use screen start`; to start it automatically on the first `computer_use`, enable `bot_desktop.auto_start: true`.
Taking over. In Desktop, open the screen through Bots → bot → Scheduled Jobs, by right-clicking Open Screen, or from the Sessions sidebar. The `Open Screen when the bot uses it` option is off by default and is enabled separately for each bot. Hermes recommends 1.1–1.5 GB RAM for a screen with a browser, and an idle screen stops after 30 minutes.

Each Hermes profile has its own screen, browser profile, and cookies, so authorization after Take over persists until the end of the site session.
