Meta moves beyond public replies to an agent: Muse keeps working after the app closes
On September 8, Meta began rolling out Muse in the US. The personal AI agent continues long-running tasks after the app is closed and asks for approval before sending an email or making a purchase. Paid plans cost $20 and $100 per month.

Previously, Meta AI responded only when tagged as `@meta.ai` in a public post or reply. Now Muse works as a standalone agent in the iOS and Android apps and at muse.ai.
Muse can be set up for coding on macOS and Linux with one command, then launched in a project with `muse`. Meta provided a separate PowerShell command for Windows. Muse's free tier offers up to 100 million tokens per week.
Meta promised to later give Muse access through AI glasses.
