Drafts in Seedance 2.5 will use fewer credits: Draft mode
On Sep 24, 2026, Runway added Draft mode for Seedance 2.5: the mode creates variations faster and uses fewer credits. Selected variations can then be refined to full quality.

Previously, exploring options ran at full quality. Now Runway suggests trying options in Draft mode first, then bringing selected ones to full quality.
Credits are spent later. Maxim spends them on the final version rather than on every draft during exploration.
Draft mode is already available in Seedance 2.5.
