Lightroom gets an Omarchy replacement: presets and catalog already work
On Sep 27, 2026, a Lightroom replacement for Omarchy can already import a catalog and supports VSCO Film presets with Adobe camera profiles. Its author expects to convince @dhh to give up the Mac mini with Lightroom in a few more sessions.

I'm more than ready! And it's perfectly clear: by the end of this year at the latest, Photoshop, Lightroom, and any similar desktop apps will be a thing of the past. They will quickly be replaced by apps built by agents.

Previously, a Lightroom replacement built by agents was a broad prediction. Now there is a project that already works with presets, camera profiles, and photo catalogs.
DHH expects that by the end of 2026, such replacements will emerge for Photoshop and other desktop applications.
