Cursor teams get a shared AI agent: Team Bots connect to Slack
On Sep 28, Team Bots became available to Cursor team members with Grok Bot. Give a bot a role in one sentence, add plugins, secrets, and files, then publish it for the team.

Introducing Team Bots, shared AI teammates that learn as your team works with them. Give your Team Bot the skills, plugins, and credentials it needs for its role, then work with it in Slack or Grok Bot.

Previously, a personal Bot could only be shared as a template, with each colleague receiving a separate copy. Now Share → Publish to Team creates a separate shared Bot, while the personal Bot and its chats remain unchanged.
How to create one. In New → Create new Team Bot, define its task, add plugins, secrets, and files, provide a name and description, then select Publish to team. For an existing Bot, the owner decides whether to transfer secrets, memories, and routines.
How it works. Colleagues find the shared Bot through New → Team Bots or a link, but each interacts with it in a private chat. The Bot can retain knowledge for the whole team and requests permission when accessing a colleague's personal account.
The Grok Bot limit is used by the member who messages the bot. The Bot shows action confirmations to its owner, while configured permissions apply in colleagues' chats and Slack.
For Slack, the owner opens the Bot's name, selects Bring to your team's Slack, and chooses Connect. If a Slack admin is required, colleagues then link their accounts through Settings → General → Team Bots.
Team Bots move work with personal bots into a shared team layer while keeping each person's chat private.
