A Delta flight does not isolate AI: Wi-Fi is available on most flights
On Sep 30, Delta said free Delta Sync Wi-Fi is available on most domestic and international flights. Elon Musk called flying Delta a way to isolate AI from the internet that same day. Passengers connect through the DeltaWiFi.com portal after enabling airplane mode and Wi-Fi.

Since 2023, Delta has equipped more than 1,200 aircraft with fast, free Wi-Fi. By May 14, 2026, passengers had logged more than 160 million sessions.
Not a sandbox. Musk's joke reflects the old picture of flying without connectivity. For an AI agent, a Delta flight does not create isolation on its own: internet access comes through the passenger portal.
Delta Wi-Fi coverage and quality vary by flight, and paid Flight Pass is available on some international routes.
