College admissions in one plan: OpenAI prepares College Planner for ChatGPT
The planner will bring together college requirements, deadlines and financial aid, along with progress on each task.

College Planner in ChatGPT is initially aimed at US students in grades 10โ12 applying to four-year colleges.
An admissions plan. OpenAI promises to combine college requirements and application deadlines into a single plan. Students will be able to track progress and get help with scholarships and fee waivers.
Flashcards are already available: OpenAI added them on Sep 22, 2026 across all ChatGPT plans on the web and in the mobile app. College Planner is still preparing to launch in ChatGPT for Teens. Teen mode activates automatically for eligible accounts belonging to users under 18 after sign-in and initial setup.
Study from your notes. To create flashcards, provide a topic or upload your notes and ask ChatGPT to turn them into cards. They will appear in the response and automatically save to Library. You can tap a card to flip it, mark an answer correct or incorrect, and request edits in the chat.
ChatGPT can also create an interactive quiz from the same notes on request. To review flashcards, you can ask it to create a scheduled task. Since Oct 1, the ChatGPT camera on iOS can combine multiple pages of notes into one PDF: Scan is in the three-dot menu.
According to OpenAI's figures as of Oct 7, almost 1.2 million teens used Learning Visualizations in one week, while more than 180,000 studied in Study Mode.
During the 2026โ27 school year, around 10 members of the Student Advisory Council at Digital Wellness Lab will build AI chatbots, test tools and suggest changes. Council members are aged 16 to 20.
OpenAI will support the teen advisory council at Digital Wellness Lab for 3 years.
