Calculators and games right in ChatGPT: GPT-6 builds interactive answers
GPT-6 creates tools you can use right in the conversation, without a separate app.

On Oct 7, GPT-6 began rolling out in ChatGPT on the Plus and Pro plans. OpenAI is adding Free and Go starting Oct 8.
Business and Enterprise were part of the first wave on Oct 7. These plans, along with Plus and Pro, use GPT-6 Sol. Free and Go users get GPT-6 Luna.
A tool inside the answer. Intelligent UI builds interactive calculators, bill splitters and games right in the chat. Previously, the reasoning model finished thinking before answering. Now GPT-6 can start responding while thinking or using tools, and add results without a new prompt.
How to enable it. In your browser, open the Chat tab and select GPT-6 from the model menu, which does not use the Sol name. Intelligent UI works at levels Instant–Extra High: just ask for a calculator or game in plain language. If GPT-6 is missing from the menu, the update has not reached your account yet.
Selecting Latest automatically switches to GPT-6 with your previous reasoning level. An explicit GPT-5.6 Sol selection stays in place, and available older models remain in the menu. According to OpenAI's Oct 7 figures, GPT-6 Instant starts responses that use web search an average of 44% sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant.
The mobile app needs to be updated. The older ChatGPT apps for macOS and Windows do not support the new visual responses, so OpenAI recommends using a browser. You can reduce the number of visual elements through Settings → Personalization → Layout and Visuals → Simple, though some elements may remain.
The release applies only to Chat: the Work and Codex models remain unchanged. Intelligent UI does not work in Work, Voice or Pro mode with GPT-6 Astra.
Intelligent UI has no separate quota: usage counts toward the existing model, tool and plan limits.
