Free vulnerability scans for open-source projects: Anthropic launches OSS Scanner
OSS Scanner will scan open-source projects for vulnerabilities for free if their developers opt in.
On Oct 8, 2026, Anthropic announced the launch of OSS Scanner. Participation is voluntary.
Anthropic has already used Claude to find vulnerabilities in Project Glasswing. The company is now drawing on that experience to run regular scans of open-source projects.
Participating projects will receive scans using Anthropic's most capable models.
