Graduates don't necessarily know AI tools: one large company's hiring experience
At one large company, new graduates usually have little experience with AI coding tools, according to its chief technology officer.

The chief technology officer of a large company that hires graduates told me about today's students: “Everyone says new graduates are on first-name terms with AI, but we don't see that. They usually aren't familiar with AI coding tools and have barely used them. They are much more comfortable building software the way it was done before AI. Many of those who did internships did them at ‘traditional’ companies where these tools weren't used either.”

Many graduates interned at companies that did not use these tools either.
