Enhanced protection in Google Messages: Gemini catches a scam spread across several messages

Google Scam Detection flagged more than 5 million suspicious calls and messages in a month (Google Security blog, Oct 14). The new Enhanced protection setting sends conversations with unknown senders to Gemini cloud models, and processing runs in the secure Private AI Compute environment.
