$15 million for mathematicians working with AI: Simons Foundation opens applications

Anthropic and OpenAI, together with the Simons Foundation, are committing $15 million to a program for mathematicians, and on Oct 15 the foundation opened applications. The companies provide researchers with AI tools and computing resources, while the foundation manages the money and distributes it.
