Agents working as a team complete 30% fewer tasks than when they work alone

CooperBench (Stanford, arXiv preprint from Jan 19, 2026): agents working on the same project together succeed at a task 30% less often on average than the same agents working alone. Tested on more than 600 collaborative development tasks across 12 libraries and 4 languages.
