FaceAge predicts cancer patients' survival from one face photo, and doctors' forecasts improve

Doctors predicted short survival for patients on palliative radiotherapy only slightly better than a coin toss. The model was trained on 58,851 photos of healthy people over 60 and tested on 6,196 cancer patients from the Netherlands and the US (Mass General Brigham press release, May 13, 2025).
