Newcomers outpace veterans: an Anthropic team drops the coding interview

Felix Rieseberg removed the coding interview from hiring for his Anthropic team in October: it no longer gives a signal, and recently hired engineers are outpacing experienced ones. The desktop [Claude Code](/tools/claude-code) on this team was built over a weekend by two newcomers.
