A 27 billion-parameter model runs directly on iPhone 18 Pro: twice as fast as on 17 Pro
Adrien Grondin launched the Bonsai-27B model on an iPhone 18 Pro: 27 billion parameters run entirely on the smartphone, without the cloud. Generation speed is roughly twice as fast as on the iPhone 17 Pro (iXBT, 20.09.2026).
