iPhone buyers can claim a payout: up to $95 per device
Until 21 December 2026, buyers of certain iPhones in the US can file a claim for payment in the Siri dispute. The base amount is $25 per device, with a cap of $95.
The delay of Siri capabilities in Apple Intelligence was previously challenged in Landsheft et al. v. Apple Inc. Now Apple will contribute $250 million to the fund while denying the allegations. Before distribution, the fund will cover notice, administration, tax, litigation, and attorney-fee costs.
Who qualifies and how. Claims are open to US residents who bought an iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model for personal use in the US from 10 June 2024 through 29 March 2025. In the Claim Form at SmartphoneAISettlement.com, they provide contact details, confirm their purchase and expectation of unavailable Siri capabilities, and find the serial number in device settings, on the box, receipt, or invoice.
One phone, one claim. A payment can be claimed for each eligible device, with a choice of a physical or digital check. Anyone who does not file a claim will receive no money, but will remain bound by the settlement terms and waive related claims against Apple.
The final settlement hearing is scheduled for 24 February 2027 at 09:00.
