ChatGPT handles tasks by voice: plugins now work in Live on web and mobile
Starting September 23, ChatGPT Live connects plugins on web, iOS, and Android. By voice, users can manage email and calendars, work with Slack, and create documents, presentations, websites, and spreadsheets in ChatGPT Work.

Previously, ChatGPT responded by voice, while email, calendars, and work services had to be opened manually. Now Live works with connected plugins and connected apps, while the text response remains in the chat: an unfinished task can be completed after the conversation.
Connecting in two steps. In Plugins or Apps, users choose the needed plugin, install it, sign in to the linked account, and confirm permissions. In Live, simply ask ChatGPT to use the connected plugin, but confirmation-required actions still need a tap on the screen.
Free and Go get Voice with the plugins included in their plan. Plus gets 3 hours of Live per rolling 24 hours, Pro at $100 per month gets 15 hours, and Pro at $200 per month works without a limit. Finance is available only to Plus and Pro users in the US, and ChatGPT cannot transfer money, pay bills, or make trades.
Developers can build their own plugin from skills and an MCP server, package it for installation, and submit it to the public directory.
Global rollout began on September 23 in the latest version of the app.
