PR review now starts with intent: CodeRabbit links code to change goals
On September 23, 2026, CodeRabbit enabled Change Stack by default for PR reviews. The Review Change Stack button opens Overview, where a PR's purpose, behavior, and dependencies are connected to the code.

Previously, a reviewer had to piece together a PR's meaning from an alphabetical file list. Now the service groups related changes into semantic layers and shows them alongside the code.
Workflow. In Overview, you can go through layers or files, review diffs and findings, ask Chat, then leave a review or merge. Change Stack works in GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps, including self-hosted GitHub, GitLab, and Azure DevOps. Azure DevOps is view-only.
Essentials costs $24 per developer per month when billed annually, Team costs $48, and Advanced costs $72. Essentials has limited access; Team adds custom pre-merge checks, post-merge actions, and a limit of 8 PR reviews per hour instead of 5; Advanced offers 10, Enterprise 12. Reviews above the limit on eligible plans cost $0.25 per reviewed file.
After a new push, Change Stack marks the reviewed version as outdated and applies actions to the current PR.
