Personal AI will be able to retain context longer: Google adds server-side memory
On September 23, Google DeepMind added server-side memory to Private AI Compute, Gemini's cloud platform for personal data.
**The platform previously worked in isolated cases.** Private AI Compute launched on November 11, 2025 for Magic Cue on Pixel 10 and transcript summaries in Pixel Recorder. Google is now adding server-side memory for personal AI.
Privacy is built into the foundation. Google builds Private AI Compute on TPU and secure Titanium Intelligence Enclaves environments, while an NCC Group audit took 100 person-days from April to September 2025.
Server-side memory brings personal AI closer to an assistant that remembers past tasks instead of starting every conversation from scratch.
