Editing no longer needs the browser: Runway integrates with DaVinci Resolve
On September 23, Runway integrated with DaVinci Resolve: generation, editing, and upscaling are now available inside the timeline. Standard costs $12 per month when billed annually and includes 625 credits, or 52 seconds of Gen-4.5.

Previously, you had to export a frame, upload it to Runway in the browser, download the result, and return it to the timeline. On August 10, Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2 gained the ability to output ProRes 4444 with PCM audio or a PNG sequence for Resolve and Premiere, and on September 8, Runway integrated with Premiere: you can place the result at the playhead.
Plugin and models. The plugin is free to download, but generation requires Standard or higher. In its Adobe panel, Runway offers Gen-4.5, Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 Pro, and Veo 3.1 for video, plus Gen-4 Image, Nano Banana, and GPT Image 2 for images; Aleph 2 rerenders a selected clip at the same duration and supports HDR conversion, background removal, and upscale.
For Adobe, one installer covers Premiere Pro and After Effects on macOS and Windows: close the apps, install the plugin, then open Window → Extensions → Runway and sign in.
Runway went from file exports on August 10 to panels inside Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve in a month and a half.
