AI agent moves beyond the chat: Meta will add Muse to its glasses in the coming months
On September 23, Meta gave Muse access to Mac apps and promised to add the AI agent to its glasses in the coming months.
Muse is an AI agent that plans its own steps and calls tools. On September 8, Meta began rolling it out in the US on iOS, Android, and the web.
From chat to the world. On September 23, Muse gained access to Mac apps after user approval and learned to continue tasks in the background. In the coming months, Meta will add the agent to its glasses.
Tasks around you. In the glasses, Muse will be able to guide a workout, log food, search for flights, book a doctor’s appointment, and buy items it sees. The agent will notify users when it finishes its work.
Muse will get its own email address and connectors for GitHub, Notion, PayPal, Walmart, and 12 more services. Meta named Expedia and Instacart as next; before making a purchase or sending an email, the agent will ask for permission.
Meta also showed an interactive avatar for voice-based Muse. Users will be able to set the pace and accent of its voice with a description.
Meta is keeping most tasks free. The company is preparing subscriptions for greater workloads, but has not disclosed the price.
Meta is evolving Muse from a Mac app into an agent that works through glasses, email, and services around the user.
