Slack Bug Makes Its Way to PRs: Claude Tag Writes More Than Half of Its Author’s PRs

Tag writes more than half of my PRs every day. It also handles nearly all of my data analysis and fixes most product feedback and bugs. This is not a typical Slack bot. It acts on its own, can be programmed, remembers context, and has access to your connectors. With Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1, it has a better sense of when and what to do. Here are the prompts I use: - "@Claude add a ✅ to threads in this channel when a question is resolved" - "@Claude from now on, try to reproduce every bug in this channel end to end by running the full application. When you reproduce a bug, open a PR with a fix and tag the right team for code review" - "@Claude come up with around 100 hypotheses that could explain this strange data, then use workflows to confirm or rule them out. Spend around 10 million tokens digging very deep. Make a chart with the result" - "@Claude build an interactive game that explains how this part of the code works, then prepare a presentation for the rest of the team"

On Sep 25, Claude Tag wrote to @bcherny on more than half of PRs each day. In Slack, the agent now uses personal connectors to Drive, Salesforce and Warehouse, and can open a PR draft from a thread. An administrator can set the monthly limit from $500 to $1 million, or leave it unlimited.
