Pareto 26.10 Preview from Unbiased accepts text and images, responds with text and is designed for research, coding and AI agent workflows. The previous Pareto supported 262,000 tokens. Preview expands the context window to 1,048,576 tokens, with up to 131,072 tokens in a single response.
Token costs. OpenRouter has lowered both rates compared with the previous Pareto. Prices as of Oct 1, 2026, in dollars per 1 million tokens:

Connecting to your project. Through OpenRouter, the model is called with a POST request to `https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions`. The header requires `Authorization: Bearer <OPENROUTER_API_KEY>`, and the `model` field must be set to `unbiased/pareto-26.10-preview`. Preview supports tool calling through `tools` and `tool_choice`, but does not support `response_format`, so a specified JSON response format is not guaranteed.
In Unbiased's own API, the name `pareto` already points to 26.10 Preview: existing clients do not need to change it. New integrations require the base URL `https://api.unbiased.ai/v1` and a key issued through `platform.unbiased.ai` after requesting access. The API supports OpenAI Chat Completions and Anthropic Messages formats.
For coding on macOS, Unbiased offers the `pareto` command: a Pi coding agent connected to the model. The installer runs with `curl -fsSL https://unbiased.ai/install/pareto -o /tmp/install-pareto.sh && bash /tmp/install-pareto.sh`, and the key is stored in macOS Keychain.
Unbiased offers subscriptions with weekly token allowances. Terms as of Oct 1, 2026:

In Unbiased's preliminary tests on Oct 1, Preview scored 69.9% on DeepSWE v1.1 at a cost of $0.24 per task. On Terminal-Bench 4.0, it scored 50.8% at $0.48 per task.
Unbiased's own API has already switched to Preview under the existing model name `pareto`.
