You can now talk to Lovable about anything. Think out loud (literally: we support voice conversations). The chat deeply understands the context of your Lovable apps and connected tools, and it's free.

Lovable can inspect an app's code, query its database and work out why Lovable Cloud costs have risen.
Lovable launched Chats and Chat mode on Sep 21, 2026. The company now lets you discuss any topic with context from your apps and connected tools. Conversations do not change code: inside a project, the move to making changes starts with the Start building card.
How to start a conversation
Opening a chat. Open `lovable.dev/chats` and click New chat, or select Chat in the prompt field on the main dashboard. To discuss a specific app, open the ⋯ menu on its project card and select Chat about this project.
For a voice conversation in Chats, select Start voice conversation and allow microphone access. Lovable replies aloud and saves a transcript. Dictation is available inside projects, while conversations with spoken replies take place in Chats.
Use + (Chat actions) or @ to attach up to 10 projects to a message, as well as select connected tools and files. Lovable can carry successful solutions across apps: for example, you can discuss code from several projects in one conversation.
To connect Notion, Linear or another service, open Connectors, select the service and follow Add connection → Chat connector. Then sign in to your account and grant access. These workflows are described in the Sep 24 documentation.
What's included in the free allowance
Free within the allowance. Under the Sep 24 terms, Free, Pro and Business include a free daily chat allowance. Pro and Business have larger allowances. The allowance is shared across the entire workspace, resets at 00:00 UTC and does not roll over to the next day.
Once it runs out, Lovable uses daily build credits first, then general credits. On Enterprise, billing starts with the first message.
The chat creates Markdown, CSV and JSON files within chat usage. PDFs, Word documents, presentations and spreadsheets with formulas require a project that uses build credits.
Image and video generation also use build credits under the standard terms. Switching to Plan or Build and work handed off from a chat to a project are billed the same way.
The current terms for the free daily allowance apply through Oct 31, 2026.
