OpenCode 1.x support ends: upgrading to 2.0 takes one command
Support for OpenCode 1.x has ended: on Oct 11, a developer in issue #31119 advises moving to OpenCode 2.0 with the command opencode upgrade --major. Release 1.19.0 names the same command as the main upgrade path.

Previously OpenCode installed updates on its own. In 1.19.0 that stopped: you can update or move to 2.0 manually with the `/update` command in the TUI.
Migration. The `opencode upgrade --major` command moves 1.x to 2.0. For a fresh install, use `curl -fsSL https://opencode.ai/v2/install | bash`, or `brew install anomalyco/tap/opencode-v2`, or `npm install -g @opencode/cli`. The curl script replaces the V1 binary and does not leave it alongside.
What breaks. V1 plugins don't work in V2: they have to be ported by hand to the new plugin API. Integrations that call the server API must be rewritten, because the contracts are new. The terminal config moves automatically from several tui.json(c) files into one ~/.config/opencode/cli.json, but keys are renamed: plugin became plugins, agent became agents, command became commands, snapshot became snapshots.
Settings migrate automatically, but plugins and integrations have to be rewritten by hand.
