API credits in Claude Max and Team: subscription gives $100 or $200 a month on the API
The Max subscription now includes API credits: $100 a month on Max 5x and $200 on Max 20x. They work with the Claude API, Managed Agents, Agent SDK and Playground, but not in Claude Code.

Until now, the Max subscription covered claude.ai and Claude Code, while the API was paid separately. Now the same money can go toward your own code. Claude and Claude Code limits are not affected by credits.
How to link it. In claude.ai, open Settings > Billing (Max) or Organization settings > Billing (Team), choose "Link organization" in the API credits section, then pick a Console organization and accept the program terms. No card for Claude Platform is needed.
What matters before linking. Max 5x, Max 20x and Team qualify; Free, Pro and Enterprise do not. One subscription links to one Console organization, and you can't change it yourself, only through support. Link the organization you'll be building in.
Team. Each Standard seat gets $20 a month, each Premium seat $100, and the shared pool is capped at $500. Example: 3 Standard and 2 Premium seats give $260 a month.
Unused credits don't roll over: they expire at the end of each billing cycle.
Credit eligibility opens 7 days after you subscribe to an eligible plan.
