The X Subscription: Cursor joins the bundle, and Grok models in it give at least double the coding usage
Cursor joined The X Subscription on Oct 12, 2026: on Grok coding models, usage is at least double what the equivalent Cursor plan offers. Current subscribers can stay on their old plan or switch to the new one.

Cursor now joins The X Subscription. Current Cursor subscribers can keep their plan or switch to The X Subscription. On paid plans, one shared usage pool covers Cursor, Grok Build and other Grok products. On Grok coding models, you get double the usage of the equivalent Cursor plan. Premium, Super and Ultra also include Grok Bot. To free up room for more Grok usage, third-party models in Cursor move to API pay-as-you-go pricing on the new plans. We'll keep working to make your limits last longer: more compute, better inference and models that use tokens more efficiently. The X Subscription is available at cursor.com/pricing.

Before, there were two pools: its own models in Cursor and third-party models priced at API rates. Now on paid plans there is one pool for Cursor, Grok Build and other Grok products, refreshed weekly. On Grok coding models, usage is at least double the equivalent Cursor plan.
Third-party models. To make room for Grok, third-party models in Cursor move to API pricing on the new plans. With Premium and above they remain available, but are paid separately via top-up at official API prices.
How to switch. Current subscribers switch in their account billing settings or keep their old plan.
Pricing. The announcement doesn't give prices. Cursor's pricing page as of Oct 12 shows Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100 and Ultra $200 per month, but X Subscription isn't listed there.
Next milestone: Nov 12, 2026, when OpenAI models leave Cursor.
