[OpenCode](/tools/opencode) 1.19.2 from Oct 16, 2026 checks for updates only against the npm package opencode-ai, so 1.x installs don't get 2.x as a regular update. Moving to 2.0 remains a separate choice via /update or opencode upgrade --major.
