- Developer — The Browser Company of New York; Atlassian announced its acquisition on Sep 4, 2025 for $610 million in cash and closed the deal on Oct 21, 2025, after which Dia's predecessor — the Arc browser — was moved to maintenance mode (businesswire.com Sep 4, 2025, Atlassian blog, Techzine).
- Dia was announced in December 2024 as Arc's successor, entered beta in June 2025, and became generally available on macOS in October 2025. As of Aug 19, 2026, it requires macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon; the Windows version remains on the waitlist.
