A website builder from the Netherlands-based Framer: agents edit pages, CMS, code, and SEO directly on the canvas instead of producing a separate project. The bet is on design and publishing in one place, without code export.

- Framer B.V., Amsterdam; founded in 2014 by Koen Bok and Jorn van Dijk, it began as a prototyping tool and grew into a website publishing platform with hosting, CMS, and analytics (framer.com, PitchBook).
- Framer 3.0 launched on 16.06.2026 as one package without waves or a waitlist: agents on the canvas (Design, CMS, Code, Analytics), site branching (Branching), connection of external Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex agents through Framer CLI, and a rebuilt community. Plans moved to AI credits, the editor seat dropped from $40 to $20, and the Scale plan was removed (Framer blog "Introducing Framer 3.0 with Agents, Branching, and a new Community"; reviews 16.06.2026).
- Agents are refined through a live update feed: on 29.07.2026 they gained page effects, accessibility attributes, and text shadows; on 12.08.2026 - model reasoning-depth selection and Fast Mode (framer.com/updates, checked 19.08.2026).
- As of 19.08.2026: a $100 million round at a $2 billion valuation from Meritech Capital Partners and Atomico with Accel's participation, ARR above $50 million; new agent users get 500 credits, while generating a full page costs about $3 (Yahoo Finance, Sacra, Framer blog).
