- By mid-2026, Pixlr claims more than 500 million registered users in 160 countries.
- Founded in Sweden in 2008 by Ola Sevandersson, acquired by Autodesk in 2011, sold to 123RF in April 2017; now owned by Malaysia's Inmagine Group (123RF, Designs.ai).
- The 2026 version includes more than 15 AI models: text generation, Generative Fill and Generative Expand, background and object removal, face replacement, and upscaling to 400%.
- A video generator was added in 2025; by the end of 2023, the mobile apps had been downloaded more than 130 million times.
