There is one thing to consider: whose video you are translating. Rask charges to take your own videos into other languages; translating someone else's video into Russian is cheaper without it.

Who it is for. For people publishing their own videos and looking to sell them in other markets: a course in English, a review in Spanish, a training video for a branch in Turkey. The voice remains yours, the service separates speakers automatically, translations can be edited and regenerated at no extra cost, and the team reviews results in a shared workspace.

Who else. Studios and schools with a stream of videos: annual Business provides 6,000 minutes for $6,000, API access, and priority processing.

Who it is not for. People who want to watch someone else's video in Russian: there are three free minutes, they expire after a week, and YouTube translates this for free. And for those counting the per-minute cost: on annual billing it is $0.78-1.32, two to seven times cheaper with HeyGen and ElevenLabs, and you will need a foreign card to pay.

What vibecoding isStarting from scratch: how to set tasks for agents with no coding experience

One cycle: recognize speech, translate it, voice it in the speaker's voice, and optionally match the lips. Everything is measured in finished-video minutes for each language.

Translation and dubbing. Upload a file or YouTube link, and the service transcribes the speech, translates it “from nearly any language” into 135 languages, and voices it over. The homepage promises videos up to five hours long; the pricing-page FAQ advises splitting anything longer than three. The output is a video with a new audio track, SRT subtitles, a transcript, and separate audio.

Your own voice. The speaker's voice clone works in 32 languages, with Russian on the list between Ukrainian and Hungarian. The service automatically counts how many people speak on screen and gives each their own voice. The site itself has no Russian version: the interface is in English and 15 other languages.

Lips in sync. Two kinds of lip sync: standard uses one minute per minute of video, enhanced uses three, and the vendor calls its pricing beta. The site does not say which engine matches the lips. A Trustpilot user wrote in July 2024 that a test clip worked, but lip sync on the full-length one was “completely off”.

Editor. The transcript and translation can be edited manually, AI rewrites an overly long line to match speaking pace, a terminology glossary keeps product spelling consistent across all videos, and a translation prompt sets the tone. Regeneration after edits costs no minutes. Team workspaces with reviewer roles arrived in April 2025, voice-over preview and version history in June 2026.

What the vendor itself shows. The header video is clipped from the vendor's 15-minute product guide on its channel from 27.08.2026: the upload dialog, a project list with German, French, and Spanish translations, and an editor with lines and a player; the entire guide is presented by a vendor employee, whose webcam appears in every frame. The screenshots below come from the same video. Rask has no avatars, Shorts disappeared from pricing in 2025, and “Create Video” with screen recording remains marked “coming soon”. We did not run a video through the service ourselves; the mechanics and figures come from the vendor's pricing FAQ, terms, and changelog.

Both the website and app are accessible from Russia, but payment requires a foreign card or cryptocurrency.

Step 1. Open app.rask.ai and create an account with your email. No card is needed upfront, though the terms let the vendor request one. Three minutes will be credited to your account and expire seven days after registration.

Step 2. Upload a video or paste a YouTube link, choose a language, enable voice cloning and, for a video with someone on camera, lip sync. Processing runs in a queue; Business gets priority. On the free plan, a user in 2026 saw a watermarked preview and timer but could not download anything, not even subtitles.

Step 3. Check the translation in the editor, fix terms, and regenerate the voice-over for free. Download the video, SRT, or audio. For a stream of videos, plans from Business include folders, voice presets, and an API.

From Russia. Both the website and app return code 200 from a Moscow node that cannot open Instagram at that same moment, so it sees Russian blocks; Germany, the Netherlands, and the US get the same response, while only Iranian addresses are denied (tested 06.09.2026). The vendor never mentions Russia, neither in restrictions nor payments. There is one barrier: checkout supports only Stripe and cryptocurrency, so a Russian card will not work. Apps. There are none: the vendor says “no installation required”, and the App Store, Google Play, and RuStore are empty as of 06.09.2026. There is a Chrome extension, “Rask Screen Recorder”, with 58 users; it records the screen rather than translating.

There are no arenas or benchmarks for AI dubbing, so there will be no “best” here: only vendor figures marked as such and two ratings that disagree.

Vendor claims. On 06.09.2026 the homepage says “Trusted by 3,400,000 users”, the pricing page says “Over 2,000,000 happy users”, the API page says “3M+”, and the awards page says “1M+”. None discloses its methodology. In December 2023, the vendor cited one million users and “$5M ARR in just 9 months”; an SEO contractor writes about $6M in 2026, while estimator getlatka gives $2.6M for 2025.

Two ratings. G2 has 4.7 from 271 reviews; Trustpilot has 2.3 from 30, with 80% one-star ratings; in June 2025 it had 1.8 from 17. A user who went through the funnel in 2026 explains the split this way: G2 collects first impressions from business buyers, Trustpilot from those who kept paying and ran into billing and support. The domain's Tranco rank fell from 119,638 to 146,601 over a month.

Demand in Russia. “Rask ai” gets 905 searches a month, versus 1,348 for the generic query “AI video voice-over” and 615 for “AI video translation youtube” (Wordstat, 06.09.2026). People want to watch someone else's content in Russian; the vendor sells publishing your own in 135 languages. Competitors advertise on Yandex for the branded query, promising “payment with a Russian card” and “Russian language”. Rask's place among video tools is shown below the card title; the full tool ranking is on the main page.

You pay for finished-video minutes in each language, starting at $33 per month on annual billing, and this “sale” has been running since January.

Free. Three minutes without a card, expiring seven days after registration. The vendor deletes free-account videos after three months. There are six free tools such as a subtitle generator, but their limits are not stated on the pricing page.

Three plans. Creator is $60 a month or $33 with annual billing for 25 minutes a month, Creator Pro is $150 or $78 for 100, Business is $750 or $500 for 500. The annual payment is $396, $936, and $6 000; minutes accumulate and do not expire. An extra minute is $3, and only on annual Creator Pro and Business plans. At the annual price, a minute costs $1.32, $0.78, and $1.00, so the middle plan is cheaper than the top one.

A minute per language. A five-minute video into two languages costs ten minutes; enhanced lip-sync adds three minutes for every minute of video. A minute of video with it into one language on the $33 Creator plan costs $5.28. The remaining balance on monthly plans expires at the end of the cycle; the subscription can be paused once a year for a month.

An endless promotion. The "prices are changing soon" banner with a two-day timer and $33 and $78 prices has been on the page since 01/10/2026 according to the web archive, while the timer itself is hardcoded into the page as a constant: every visitor sees exactly 2 days 14 hours 37 minutes. Further down the same page, the FAQ calls the annual price $50 and $120. Treat $33 as the regular price, not a discount.

Refund. Money is refunded only for a technical error within the first 14 days and if less than a quarter of the plan has been used. For defects such as untranslated sections or two voices at once, they refund minutes, not money. Crypto is non-refundable, and payment-processing fees are withheld. This is exactly what 80% of Trustpilot ratings are one-star.

Paying from Russia. Checkout supports only Stripe and cryptocurrency, with no rubles and no Russian cards accepted. An intermediary sells Creator for 6 813 ₽ a month at an exchange rate of 5 195 ₽, while virtual cards are issued by separate services. Competitors charge less per dubbing minute: HeyGen from $0.19, ElevenLabs from $0.36, Synthesia $0.60, while Rask's monthly Creator costs $2.40 per minute, twelve times more than HeyGen. YouTube dubs uploaded videos for free, with Russian on its list, while a dubbing studio in Russia charges about 5 780 ₽ per minute.

Three questions: whose translated video is it, what does the service do with your voice, and why does it have 80% one-star ratings on Trustpilot.

Who owns the video. Yours: the terms say "you retain full ownership rights to any Content created through our Service"; commercial use is allowed. But the client must obtain consent from people on camera and for cloning their voices; the vendor disclaims responsibility.

Your voice and data. Data is stored and processed in the US and deleted within 30 days after termination. The word "biometrics" does not appear in the policy; it does not describe separate consent for voice cloning or specify voiceprint retention periods. The policy is dated 10/09/2024 and says 13+, while the Terms dated 08/24/2026 require users to be 18+. The vendor calls itself "SOC 2 Type II compliant" and "GDPR compliant"; reports are available only through the Trust Center on Vanta; it has been a C2PA member since 2023.

Why the one-stars. Trustpilot has 30 reviews and 80% are one-star (09/06/2026). The stories repeat: charges after cancellation, including one case of $1 441 four months after cancelling a $582 subscription, unresponsive support, extra charges on top of $60 a month, and poor quality on long videos: "with real size videos it was absolutely useless" (07/01/2024), "up to 95% of the translated segments were incorrect" in certain languages (03/17/2025). Users praise voice cloning, transcription, and three free minutes before payment. G2, meanwhile, shows 4.7 in a snapshot from 08/03/2026.

Who is behind the service. Brask is a Delaware company founded in 2023 with 11-50 employees; the address in the site footer belongs to a registered agent. Founder and CEO Maria Chmir previously led Deepcake, a deepfake studio that created a digital twin of Bruce Willis for a Megafon ad; the actor's representative said at the time that no agreement with him existed. The first rask.ai site in March 2023 was built on Deepcake's Webflow project. No leaks, lawsuits, or statements about Russia were found as of 09/06/2026; the changelog has been silent since 06/23/2026 and the blog since April.

The choice is not about quality, which nobody has measured, but where the video comes from: whether you have already filmed it or need to create it from a digital twin.

HeyGen. Sells videos with a talking twin, with translating finished video as one of its features: 175 languages and dialects, Creator $29 per month for 600 credits, one minute of translation costs 4 credits without lip sync and 6 with it, or from $0,19. There is a phone app specifically for translation. HeyGen compares itself with Rask in its blog and emphasizes price; Rask responds with an article about «HeyGen alternatives».

Rask.Only translates and dubs finished video, but has built a full operation around it: speaker separation, terminology glossary, edits at no extra cost, collaborative proofreading by native speakers, API. A minute costs two to seven times more, there are 135 languages, and no app.

Who else is nearby. ElevenLabs offers dubbing as one of its voice features from $0,36 per minute and outputs audio, Synthesia gives 48 minutes of dubbing for $29 inside its avatar video builder, while YouTube dubs uploaded videos itself for free, but only within YouTube. From Russia, all three foreign services use the same payment flow.

Over three and a half years, the service grew from a six-language storefront inside a deepfake studio to 135 languages and three plans; the monthly Creator price has held at $60 since November 2023, while the annual price fell from $50 to $33.
