Before 14 September, Forge was not available in Bolt.new. The builder now lets users choose a dedicated AI agent with four open-weight models: GLM 5.3 Flash is the default, GLM 5.3 is available alongside it, and Kimi K3 and DeepSeek v4 Pro are marked experimental.
Limit. All models use one monthly allowance with no daily limit. Kimi K3 and DeepSeek v4 Pro consume it faster, while the allowance is the same across all individual Pro plans and separate from Standard and Max.
Access. On individual Pro, users need to open the agent selector, choose Bolt Forge and a model, send their first prompt, and accept the terms. Bolt Lite first requires joining a waitlist, then activating an access code within 72 hours, subscribing to Lite for $9 per month, and selecting Forge. The terms include de-identifying prompts, code, and correction traces to train open-source models. Without consent, Standard or Max remain available without data sharing.
The next known milestone is 14 October 2026, when the period of free Forge usage for Pro ends.
