Google's CC agent is now shared across the household: up to 6 people use one assistant
On September 17, Google Labs opened CC's family mode: one agent now assembles a morning briefing for as many as six adults.
The CC agent now has its own Google Account: a separate identity with permissions, like a seventh resident in the home.
On September 17, Google Labs made one agent available to six adults. Each participant decides what CC can see in their email, calendar, and tasks, while the shared result comes together in one morning email.
Earlier and now. CC launched on December 16, 2025 as a personal email agent based on Gemini. It connected Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, then sent one person a morning "Your Day Ahead" digest. Now the same digest has become a household briefing: school notifications, training schedules, and vet reminders are combined into a single "who needs to be where" list.
What it can do at home. The agent fills out registration forms and PDF permission slips, calculates travel time through Google Maps, and compiles shared documents: menus, shopping lists, and school supply lists.
Access is rolling out in waves. New users can join the waitlist at labs.google/cc, while existing users receive an email upgrading them to the family version. A personal Google Account and age 18+ are required; for now, it works only in the US.
At launch in December 2025, CC was available in the US and Canada; the family version is open only in the US.
