Search Results Change Habits: Almost One in Two Reads an AI Answer
In July-August 2026, nearly one in two of 1 000 urban users aged 18-65 read an AI answer directly in the search results.

Search used to lead to a list of links. Now 34% of respondents are noticeably more likely to read a ready-made AI answer directly in the results.
Tasks have split. 30% of participants use AI to find a precise fact, versus 31% who use classic search results. 27% turn to AI to analyze documents, while 26% use it to unpack a complex topic.
23% of participants already take creative and non-standard tasks straight to a dedicated AI chat.
