Taste in Zvuk mapped out: Atlas needs 20 tracks
On 22 September, Zvuk launched Atlas: a personal map appears after 20 tracks are added to a collection. The map breaks down preferences across more than 100 genres and nearly 50 moods.
A personal Atlas is not generated while a collection has fewer than 20 tracks. After that, the service divides the map into 4 zones, shows “islands of preference,” and adds a recommendation feed alongside it.
Sound checks genres. EffNet analyzes the audio signal without manual labeling and calculates matches across 400 microgenres. CASE rules consolidate them into 28 families, while an editor can replace a label or refine it to a subgenre.
LLM labels moods using Russell's model: 4 quadrants of valence and energy, each with 12 levels.
Atlas recommendations take listening depth, replays, and additions to a collection into account.
