New tracks are easier to find by taste: Zvuk maps it across 100 genres
On September 22, Zvuk launched Atlas: the map is built from a collection of 20 tracks. The service categorizes music into more than 100 genres and nearly 50 moods.
Previously, a user's preferences were a collection of music. Now Atlas maps them across four zones and recommends neighboring tracks based on plays to completion, repeats, and additions.
How the map works. EffNet analyzes track audio signals without expert labeling across 400 microgenres, while rules consolidate them into 28 genre families. An LLM maps mood by valence and energy, then divides each of the four zones into 12 gradations.
The map appears once a user's collection reaches 20 tracks.
