As of Sep 27, Aside connects Chromium to MCP: an AI agent reads CI logs, internal admin panels, and staging screenshots on private pages. In `mcp.json`, specify `command: "aside"` and `args: ["mcp"]`.

Previously, a private tab remained outside an agent’s task scope. Aside now installs through a DMG, while on macOS the CLI is installed with `curl -fsSL https://releases.aside.com/install.sh | bash`, then launched with `aside mcp`. The CLI can also send a task to the browser and open a REPL through `aside repl`.
Access is configurable. Vault fills in the login without showing the password to the agent. A human handles MFA, passkey approval, CAPTCHA, and identity verification, while `Settings > Passwords > Access policy for AI agents` offers Always allow, While unlocked, and Never modes. Always allow is enabled by default.
The Free plan includes 500 credits per month, up to 3 routines, a built-in password manager, and memory. Pro offers three times the Free limit, while Max offers 30 times more; model settings let users connect their own subscriptions through OAuth or providers’ API keys.
In Aside Browser v1.0.914.1, tabs controlled through MCP or the CLI are grouped under Agent Tabs in the sidebar.
