Previously, GPT-6 Sol and Luna could interpret images less accurately because of an error. Now Codex and the API receive the fix without a model change.
How to enable it. In Codex, Sol and Luna can be selected in the model picker. In the Responses API, specify `gpt-6-sol` or `gpt-6-luna`: both models accept text and images, support computer use, and offer context windows of up to 1.05 million tokens.
GPT-6 Sol costs $2 per 1 million input tokens and $10 per 1 million output tokens. GPT-6 Luna costs $0.10 and $0.50.
GPT-5.6 remains available alongside the GPT-6 lineup for now.
