On Sep 28, Elon Musk confirmed Grok updates. On Sep 20, Grok Build 1.0.40 received the Grok 4.7 model.

In Grok Build 1.0.39, subagents could inherit the parent session's model, with the selection fixed at the start. Version 1.0.40 added Grok 4.7.
Long-running tasks. The `/goal <task>` command hands work to an AI agent through result verification: it builds a plan and maintains a checklist. `/goal status`, `/goal pause`, `/goal resume`, and `/goal clear` show, stop, continue, and clear a task.
Grok Build's early beta was previously limited to SuperGrok Heavy. The service is now available on all plans on the web, iOS, and Android; after installing it with `curl -fsSL https://x.ai/cli/install.sh | bash`, you need to sign in to an account.
The latest known version of Grok Build, 1.0.40, was released on Sep 20.
