Multiverse instructors are evaluated after every lesson: Compass reviews all sessions
In September 2026, Multiverse introduced Compass for instructors, which reviews each of their online sessions. In August, only Delivery Managers could see the reports; now the system assigns a risk status, confidence score, and comments. Anonymous instructors told The Guardian that constant session analysis causes them significant stress.
Previously, a Delivery Manager could observe about one session a month. Now Compass compares every lesson against the Compass Framework and learner feedback, giving the manager risk areas and guidance for instructor development.
Humans still make the decisions. Multiverse says the Delivery Manager reviews Compass's output and chooses the next steps. The company says instructor performance can only be assessed through human observation. Compass signals include resolving a connection issue in about a minute and frequent filler words.
Multiverse already uses AI in other processes. The company says Atlas AI processed 1.5 million questions and answered 88.3% of routine requests with a 99% helpfulness rating. Coaches' time spent on routine support fell from 41% to 18%.
In October, Multiverse plans to show instructors these same Compass reports in its internal learning platform.
