Engineers will learn to deploy Claude: Frontier Academy targets 10,000 graduates
Anthropic announced an initial $100 million investment in Claude Frontier Academy to train engineers to deploy Claude.

After a four-day intensive, participants spend 12 weeks deploying Claude in their organization with mentorship from Anthropic engineers.
**From a training exercise to a real project.** The academy starts with the Frontier Deployed Engineer Residency program. During the first three days, engineers work in person to build a system on Claude for a simulated enterprise, then take an exam using a new scenario. Successful participants earn the Claude Resident Engineer credential.
The next stage involves a project at their own organization. After 12 weeks of deployment work, participants take a final practical exam to earn the Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer credential.
Who can join. Organizations nominate practicing senior software engineers. Experience building AI agents is optional, but candidates need a specific Claude project they will deploy after training.
The Residency is available in early access to selected customers and partners. To express interest, organizations contact their Anthropic account team or partner manager. The first cohorts are based in San Francisco, New York and London.
Engineers from the following organizations are already taking part: - Accenture - Bain & Co. - Capgemini - Deloitte - Commonwealth Bank of Australia - Morgan Stanley - Novo Nordisk
Anthropic plans to train 10,000 engineers to deploy Claude by the end of 2027.
The first Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer credentials are expected in early 2027.
