Runway Adds 4 New Video and Audio Releases: Models and the Flux Video Upscaler
Runway announced its Fall 2026 collection on September 16, 2026: it includes Fish Audio S2.1 Pro, MiniMax H3 Max, Cartesia Sonic 3.6, and Flux Video upscaler/edit. According to the September 3 Runway Dev API changelog, MiniMax H3 Max generates 5–15-second videos in 480p or 768p. It costs 5 credits per second at 480p and 8 credits per second at 768p.

MiniMax H3 Max had been available separately in Runway Dev since September 3, ahead of the new collection. It accepts text, a first frame, or first and last frames; for image-to-video, it requires images of at least 256×256 pixels and preserves their aspect ratio.
Controls. In the Runway Dev catalog, H3 Max has always-on sound, a seed, and prompt expansion. `promptExpansionMode` offers `disabled`, the default `balanced`, and `quality`. The model runs through text-to-video and image-to-video endpoints, and can be tested in the playground after signing in to the developer portal.
Now. Runway has brought together Fish Audio S2.1 Pro, MiniMax H3 Max, Cartesia Sonic 3.6, and Flux Video upscaler/edit in one collection. The upscaler accepts videos up to 30 seconds and outputs 720p, 1k, 2k, or 4k. Under Runway Dev pricing as of September 16, processing costs $0.007 per frame at 720p and 1k, $0.009 at 2k, and $0.012 at 4k.
The collection has two usage scales: H3 Max counts seconds, while Flux Video upscaler counts frames.
