Claude limits can be reset early: Reset arrives on web and Desktop
On September 22, Claude got Reset: it restores the full limit for 5 hours or a week and applies across the entire account, including Mobile and Claude Code. Anthropic raised five-hour limits for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise and gave subscribers a Reset they can save for when they need it.

Now, Reset can be used before you reach the limit. The weekly schedule will not shift, and the action cannot be undone.
A button in settings. In Claude web or Desktop, open Settings → Usage → Resets, select "Reset for free," and confirm. The button is not yet available in Claude Mobile or Claude Code; an unused Reset will disappear if you cancel or downgrade your subscription.
The reason: Opus 5.5. Anthropic released the model the same day: the API costs $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, versus $5 and $25 for Opus 5. An early Anthropic tester fixed and verified a 200-thousand-line codebase in under 3 hours; Opus 5 spent more than 20 hours and 2,5 times more tokens on the same task.
The model is available in Claude Platform as `claude-opus-5-5`, while Fast mode is said to be up to 2,5 times faster and costs $8/$40 per million input and output tokens.
