New Codex CLI alpha is already available: GitHub has published 2 archives
An alpha 0.159.0-alpha.11 with two archives appeared in the Codex repository on Sep 27. The release commit changes one line: the workspace version from 0.0.0 to 0.159.0-alpha.11.
The Codex workspace previously carried version 0.0.0. In commit 72b8d8b, the developers changed it to 0.159.0-alpha.11.
Standard installation. On macOS and Linux, the official README recommends installing Codex CLI with `curl -fsSL https://chatgpt.com/codex/install.sh | sh`, then running `codex`.
The official installer first downloads the build from releases.openai.com and falls back to GitHub Releases if that fails.
