Codex sees tasks through while the computer sleeps: Cloud runs them remotely

The environment is prepared once. In a new task, choose Work in > Cloud and an environment. When creating it, add GitHub repositories, and Codex validates them, installs dependencies and tools, tests the workflow, then all that remains is to review the setup and click Publish.

A published environment reuses repositories, dependencies, and tools, but every cloud task gets its own workspace. After reviewing changes and tests, you can commit or open a pull request.

Official pricing lists Codex on Free for $0, Go for $8, Plus for $20, Pro for $100 and $200, and Business from $20. Local messages and cloud chats draw from the plan's shared limit, while Enterprise and Education with flexible pricing scale usage through credits.

For package registries, APIs, and private services, configure network access and credentials in the environment.

Codex Cloud makes the remote environment a persistent point for continuing a task across the web, mobile, and desktop app.
