Use half your Claude allowance: start a chat with a document, presentation or design
For 2 weeks starting Oct 1, work in Claude chat uses 50% less of your usage allowance if you start with a design, presentation or document.

For two weeks, start a design, presentation or document in the Claude app, and all further work in that conversation will use 50% less of your usage allowance. Try it with Claude Sonnet 5.5. It has a good eye for design and builds slides that need almost no editing.
You can also now make decks, docs, and designs in your conversation. Draft the one-pager in Claude Docs, turn it into a deck with Claude Slides, and mock up a matching visual in Claude Design, all from one place.

After the first document, the usage discount also applies to further work in the same conversation. In one chat, you can create a one-pager, turn it into a presentation and make a visual in the same style.
Usage limits are now shared. Claude Design previously had a separate weekly quota. Now design work counts toward the shared Claude usage limits, including Claude Code.
Start through Output. Select the template you need in the message field or open the template gallery in the Artifacts tab. For a document, you can also use a chat prompt, the /docs command or Output → Docs. The result is saved in Artifacts.
Artifacts requires Cloud code execution and file creation to be enabled. On Free, Pro and Max, the setting is under Settings → Capabilities. On Team and Enterprise, it is under Organization settings → Capabilities.
Claude Slides builds presentations from notes, reports and conversation context. You can edit slides directly, present them within Claude and export them to PowerPoint or PDF.
On iOS and Android, you can request a document, presentation or design and view the result in Artifacts. Starting from a template and editing require the web app or Claude Desktop.
Anthropic recommends Sonnet 5.5, released on Sep 28, 2026, for this work. According to the company's measurements, it generates responses more than 30% faster than Sonnet 5 and costs up to 30% less per task.
You can hand a design over for development through Handoff to Claude Code, while the /design-sync command in Claude Code imports a design system from existing code.
