AI agents now buy domains on their own: via Vercel CLI they already order services on the marketplace
On Oct 9, Vercel opened domain purchases to agents via its CLI. Agents were already often buying infrastructure and services on the Vercel marketplace through the same CLI.

It's incredible to watch a new type of economy being born. Agents buy infrastructure products and services. We're stunned by how often they already buy on our marketplace through our CLI. Now we're extending this to domains. Agents can already go the whole way: from idea to online business, with a cool domain name 😁

Until now, agents bought infrastructure and services through the CLI on the Vercel Marketplace. Now domains have been added to the same channel: an agent picks a name for a site and can take a project from idea to online business. The domain price and available zones have not been disclosed.
The long-term plan, according to Vercel's founder: agents go through the whole path from idea to online business.
